Question:
Dear Lorie,
I have been suffering from low back pain for many years now. I have been to chiropractors and doctors on and off, still giving me little to no relief. A friend of mine suggested it could be something emotional. Can that be true? If so what can I do.
My Response:
Good question Carol. Anything chronic most definitely is attached to something emotional. A lot of times all you have to do is think back to when your back first started to give you pain. What was going on at that time? Where there any major life changes? How did it make you feel? Who or what was involved? These questions are your first steps in identifying what at that time you decided consciously or unconsciously to deny, bury or not deal with. Since these emotions have to go somewhere they get stuck in our physical body until we are ready to deal with them. The longer we choose not to address them and the same feelings continue to surface the physical body will display symptoms related to these particular emotions until we do. Physical symptoms are our bodies way of screaming at us and telling us there is a problem. All to often we put a band aid on the symptoms or ignore them all together.
Your particular pain in your lower back is connected to or associated with fear of money and lack of financial support. Check your belief system surrounding money. Is it more positive or negative? Identify the negative and work on re-scripting your beliefs to fit in the positive present tense. Focus on creating positive feelings that you can attach to your new belief system.
Another option would be to seek some help from a life coach who could help direct you to discover these beliefs and transform them into abundant thinking. You can also seek the help of an energy worker who can help remove blockages and restore proper alignment and flow in the body’s energy field. Other tools could be the ion cleanse and thought field therapy.
